Gordon McDonald Memorial Fun Run

Gordon McDonald

The world has changed in many ways after the recent passing of our father, Gordon McDonald. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and runner. We have all been affected in different ways and will miss him dearly. Dad was an active, energetic, and fun person who lived life to the fullest.

Dad was devoted to everything in his life. His excitement started early in life with his love for boxing, racing cars, snowmobiles, riding dirt bikes and running. In his fifties he kicked his running up a notch by completing his first marathon in Burlington, VT. He then went on to complete the Long Island and Hudson Valley marathons as well as the grueling half marathon from Keene Valley to Elizabethtown. He also took up swimming and bike riding so he could participate in local triathlons; his dream was to train and participate in the Lake Placid Iron Man.

Dad always wanted others to succeed and reach their full potential; he would be honored to see his friends and family running in his memory. To that end, we are inviting everyone to join us in a fun run to honor his memory.
